Fix “Server Model SSI.htm” error in Dreamweaver CS4
2009 April 1
Today, when I was trying to run Dreamweaver CS4, I got the following error:
“The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
Server Model SSI.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.”
I don’t know why it was giving me this error, but I got the solution
. If you are also getting the same error, let’s read the article below to fix it
Let’s fix it:
- Close the Dreamwaver, if it is already opened.
- Open this folder: “C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration”
- Delete the file “WinFileCache-7A9586CB.dat“
- Done! Lets start the Dreamweaver
Above steps should fix this issue else please let me know through your comments. I’ll try to fix it for you

Hey, how do you like CS4? I only have CS3 at this point? Worth the upgrade?
I have this problem, but the folder that you’ve specified does not exist, and unforunately, I cannot find the folder anywhere on my hard disk using a search.
Any ideas? Perhaps the reason it isn’t working is because the file doesn’t work.
Kind regards,
David Harvey
You must enable “Show hidden files and folders” than search the location that mention below.
“C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration”
if you are unable to location contact me “zchand@gmail.com”
I did a search on this error code and up came this page. Thank you very much for posting this info.

It worked great. By the way, what is that file for? I hope I’m not causing other problems by deleting this to fix the current problem???
This worked great! It got rid of my popup AND it fixed my copy/paste/undo problem. Each of these features had just stopped working so I was very happy to get them back! I put a link to your blog entry in Adobe’s forum where several people had been trying to get their copy/paste working again.
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/209290?start=50&tstart=0
Hopefully it will work as well for others too!
You’re my savior! It’s funny how people don’t know about the “Show Hidden Files and Folders” I’m not sure how they even use the computer!
Thank you very much. It worked great!
The pop-up came out of nothing and I do’nt know why.
Thanks,
Arina
Excellent. Thanks for your help. Perhaps worth a note that the numbers in the dot-dat file may vary.
Great blog! Adobe installation help is non-existant, how can they get away with this? I followed the instructions but found a diferent file WinFile-3012BA81.dat and wanted to know if I should delete it like the WinFileCache-7A9586CB.dat. Thanks.

Hey guys. I figured out something else about this error. If the name of the dat file is “WinFileCache-7A9586CB.dat” then in that case the file has to be deleted. But the dat file in my system had a different name “WinFile-3012BA81.dat “…. I tried deleting this file, but still i got the error. So I tried remaning the file and then after the error did not pop up again….
Thank’s! yet slightly and I would reinstall DW
Thanks ! work great!
Hey guys, I did all of the steps above, including show Hidden Files. I was unable to find that file and delete it.
Along with :

I get “ASP.htm: configuration information that is invalid”
Im on a mac.
Thank you so much in advance.
Cheers

I’ve got the same problem I’m running Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 in Windows Vista. All the shortcut keys (like ctrl-z and the spacebar for example) doesn’t seem to work. Is there a solution for this problem as well?
It seems to be the same hickup as in Dreamweaver. I can’t find any useful information about the problem on the internet. Can anybody help me?
